Project Description
On The Pearl-Qatar, Doha’s man-made island, Marsa Malaz Kempinski opened as the island’s first ultra-luxury hotel designed around the idea of an elaborate Qatari palace, blending fine European architecture with traditional Arabian detail across every facade.
We produced and installed the hotel’s window mashrabiya panels, balustrades, domes, and cornice all finished in stone texture, one of Gulf GRC’s specialities, giving the palace its carved-stone language without the weight or cost of natural stone.
The project earned Gulf GRC a Highly Commended award from the GRCA International Award Association in 2014 recognition for the craftsmanship behind an island-scale palace built almost entirely in GRC.
